In case you need a refresher of what the WWE Mixed Match Challenge was, it was a two-season wrestling show that aired at the beginning and end of 2018. A male WWE superstar would pair with a female superstar and compete against other teams to become champion. The first season was a March Madness bracket styled tournament with fans being able to vote one eliminated team back for the semi-finals. The second season was a round-robin styled tournament, where the top eight teams competed in the playoffs.

There were some memorable teams in the tournaments including the popular Team Little Big consisting of Alexa Bliss and Braun Strowman, R-Truth and Carmella, and couples Jimmy Uso and Naomi, and Rusev and Lana. In this list, we are looking at 10 teams that you forgot competed in Mixed Match Challenge.
10 Mahalicia (Jinder Mahal And Alicia Fox) - Season 2
The unexpected team of Jinder Mahal and Alicia Fox competed in the second season of Mixed Match Challenge. Mahal and Fox started the round-robin portion of the tournament slow, starting with an 0-3 record. All the while Fox and Mahal experiencing in-fighting with Mahal trying to keep Fox calm and Sunil Singh claiming he was the captain of the team. In their final match of the round-robin portion, they finally found a way to get a win, beating Natalya and Bobby Roode.
Their record of 1-3 was actually good enough to get them the bracket portion of the tournament. They then found a way to win both of their quarter-final and semi-finals matches, finally losing to Carmella and R-Truth in the finals at the TLC 2018 event.
9 Nia Jax And Apollo Crews - Season 1
The very interesting team of Nia Jax and Apollo Crews competed in the first season of Mixed Match Challenge. Nia Jax was very excited to find out who her partner was from Raw General Manager, Kurt Angle. Her excitement quickly turned into disappointment when she found out her partner was Titus World Wide's own Apollo Crews.
The team only lasted one match in the tournament, losing to Charlotte Flair and Bobby Roode in the first round. After the match, Nia would berate Dana Brooke and Titus O'Neil, and attack them with some assistance from Apollo.
8 Country Dominance (Mickie James And Bobby Lashley) - Season 2
Sasha Banks was initially slated to be Bobby Lashley's partner in Season 2 of Mixed Match Challenge, but due to injury Banks had to step down. That left Lashley without a partner until James was announced as the replacement for Banks.

The team got off to a slow start in the round-robin losing their first match but quickly picked it up winning their next 3 to make it to the playoffs with a 3-1 record. Subsequently, they would go on to lose their first-round matchup and be eliminated from the tournament.
7 The Boss Club (Finn Balor And Sasha Banks) - Season 1
The very formidable team of Sasha Banks and Finn Balor competed in the first season of Mixed Match Challenge. This is a dream team in many fan's eyes and a team that would have really been cool to see for a longer period of time on a bigger stage.
They started off the tournament well with a win in the 1st round against Shinsuke Nakamura and Natalya, but it all went downward from there. They lost their quarter-finals match and were eliminated, then voted back in by the fans and immediately eliminated again.
6 Team Pawz (Natalya And Kevin Owens/Bobby Roode) - Season 2
The two Canadians Natalya and Kevin Owens were paired together to make Team Pawz on the second season of Mixed Match Challenge. After just one match in the round-robin, Kevin Owens was announced as being out for the rest of the tournament with an injury and Bobby Roode would replace him.

It was not a successful tournament at all for Team Pawz with Natalya and Owens losing their first matchup, making their record together 0-1. Then, after Roode replaced him, they went on to lose all 3 of their remaining round-robin matches and therefore eliminated with an 0-4 overall record.
5 The Ginger Snaps (Sami Zayn And Becky Lynch) - Season 1
The properly named team of the red-headed superstars Becky Lynch and Sami Zayn competed in the first season of Mixed Match Challenge. The lead up to their first-round match was very entertaining with the heel Sami Zayn trying to get the bad side of Becky Lynch to come out, and Becky Lynch trying to convince Sami Zayn that they don't need to compete with a bad side to win.
But alas, the Irish Lass-Kicker and The Montreal native were not able to get it together. They lost their first-round match to Team Little Big and eliminated from the tournament.
4 Monster Eclipse (Ember Moon and Braun Strowman/Curt Hawkins) - Season 2
In the first season of Mixed Match Challenge, Braun Strowman was in the very popular Team Little Big with Alexa Bliss. They were supposed to team up again, but before the tournament started Bliss suffered an arm injury at Hell In a Cell, so she was replaced with Ember Moon.

Moon and Strowman's partnership got off to a great start, winning all 4 of their round-robin matches to move on to the playoffs. Before their first playoff matchup, it was announced Strowman had suffered an elbow injury and could no longer compete. It ended up being Curt Hawkins that replaced him, and with little chemistry, the team of him and Moon lost in the first round and were eliminated from the tournament.
3 The Robe Warriors (Bobby Roode And Charlotte Flair/Becky Lynch) - Season 1
The team of Bobby Roode and Charlotte Flair were put together to form a very confident team in the first season of Mixed Match Challenge. They were a very entertaining team with Charlotte trying to teach Bobby how to woo, and both wearing very fancy robes to the ring.
They got off to a good start winning their first two matchups pretty handily, advancing to the semi-finals. That's when something interesting happened, Charlotte had dental surgery which required Becky Lynch to replace her to take on the team of Sasha Banks and Finn Balor. Becky came through and they got the win, helping Charlotte and Roode advance to the finals before Roode and Flair lost to The Miz and Asuka.
2 Fenomenal Flair (Charlotte Flair and AJ Styles/Jeff Hardy) - Season 2
Two of the best wrestlers out there, formed the team Fenomenal Flair, consisting of AJ Styles and Charlotte Flair. This was a very exciting team to watch, with this being a dream team of two of the best wrestlers on the planet.

They got off to as good of a start as you would have expected them too with them winning each of their first three round-robin matchups. There was a wrinkle thrown in when Smackdown General Manager Paige announced before their final round-robin matchup that AJ styles could no longer compete after losing the WWE Championship to Daniel Bryan, and replacing him would be Jeff Hardy. The team of Flair and Hardy still sounded exciting but they weren't able to translate it into the tournament with them losing the final round-robin matchup, and eliminated in the first round.
1 Elias And Bayley - Season 1
The very entertaining team of Bayley and Elias was put together as a team in the first season of Mixed Match Challenge. Bayley started off putting an effort to bond with Elias, with Elias shutting her down each time. Then, she proceeded to tell him off saying that he needs her. They spent the next little while trying to get on the same page, most noticeably when Bayley started playing guitar.
They couldn't translate that bonding time into the tournament though. After they both strummed their guitars on the way to the ring, they were pretty quickly upset by Rusev and Lana in the first round, eliminating them from the tournament.
