CM Punk briefly shared the ring with many superstars so fans probably forgot some of his peers. Punk became a great tag team partner, complemented himself very well with the other wrestlers, and went on to earn the WWE World Tag Team Championship. However, he either failed to gel well with various wrestlers or they were successful for just one night and that caused them to be forgotten as a team.

Both individually and as a team, CM Punk was truly fierce and powerful. And at first glance it seemed that Punk was mature enough to work as a team and share fame. But for whatever reason, these 10 Punk pairings have been long forgotten.

10 Seth Rollins

CM Punk was always one of Seth Rollins (and also The Shield's) worst nightmares, as he defeated him a total of 20 times and only lost three times. However, before all those fights, Punk and Rollins were partners once.

On August 23, 2012, in a tag team dark match, they worked as a team to defeat Cesaro and Kassius Ohno. It was a good match, although it was not dazzling, CM Punk and Seth Rollins were not amazing but they were not bad either. it's funny they weren't made a team again.

9 Edge

"Straight Edge Savior" and Edge have a long, long record of matches against, but what very few remember is that they were part of the same team once.

We have to go back in time to 2007, episode number 42 of ECW on Sci Fi. Punk, Edge, and The Hardys (Jeff Hardy and Matt Hardy) faced Finlay, King Booker, Mr. Kennedy, and Randy Orton.

The match lasted 11 minutes and the Punk and Edge team was a loser, but it was a truly epic and exciting match.

8 Mickie James

Mixed matches are not very common in the World Wrestling Federation but CM Punk had the opportunity to star in one of them and his partner was none other than Mickie James, one of the best female wrestlers in history.

They made a great team, but they were still defeated by William Regal and Layla in a match that took place in St. Louis, Missouri on February 2, 2009. It was quite entertaining and interesting; fans loved the combination of CM and Mickie.

7 Curtis Axel

Usually, Punk beat Curtis Axel, this was repeatedly, but if we take a look at the first time they were in the same ring, it was as a team.

On July 1, 2013, CM Punk and Curtis Axel defeated The Prime Time Players (Darren Young and Titus O'Neil) in just over six minutes. It was in episode number 1049 of WWE Monday Night Raw, and it was evident there that both had enormous destructive power and that working as a team could go a long way, but they never teamed up again.

6 Chris Benoit

CM Punk also had the opportunity to team up with former World Heavyweight Champion Chris Benoit. In episode 53 of ECW on Sci Fi, Punk and The Crippler faced Elijah Burke and Marcus Cor Von.

In the end, the Punk team won by disqualification after a great showing. This match is also notable for being Benoit's second-to-last match of his legendary career. Throughout his time in WCW and WWE, Benoit developed a reputation of being an amazing technical wrestler. Punk has the distinction of being one of the last wrestlers to share the ring with The Crippler.

5 Drew McIntyre

One of today's best wrestlers also teamed up with Punk, three times in total Drew McIntyre teamed up with CM. One victory in 2009 and two defeats in 2009 and 2011 respectively.

At the time, McIntyre was not as deadly as he is today, so the team looked somewhat lopsided, in fact, in the only victory they had as a team, they received help from Luke Gallows to defeat John Morrison, Matt Hardy and R- Truth.

If McIntyre had been at the peak of his career at the time, that team could have succeeded seamlessly.

4 Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat

CM Punk, Ricky Steamboat, John Cena, Rey Mysterio and Jeff Hardy fought Chris Jericho, Edge, Kane, Matt Hardy and The Big Show in episode 828 of Monday Night Raw.

It is impossible to calculate the talent that was in the ring that night, it is simply impossible. Throughout history, very few matches have had the presence of so many superstars. They were 17 minutes of jubilation for the lovers of wrestling, the contest concluded with the victory of the Punk and Steamboat team.

3 Samoa Joe

Every time Samoa Joe and "Straight Edge Superstar" joined forces they were losers, three times they teamed up, three times they lost. They were a resounding failure together.

Their team was called The New Dawn when they lost to Colt Cabana and Salvatore Rinauro on May 28, 2005, in Florida.

These two guys had everything to be a great team, Samoa Joe had tremendous strength and CM Punk had extraordinary ability, together they made a truly interesting combination. However, they never knew how to profit and they failed.

2 Zack Ryder

Zack Ryder (Matt Cardona) teamed three times with CM Punk, and in each of those three matches they took the win. At first glance they seemed to associate with one another very well.

Ryder was never an amazing wrestler, in fact he has more defeats than victories in his career, but it is interesting that in this team with CM Punk he gelled very well and came out on top.

Their duo was charismatic and energetic, something that fans really liked, nevertheless CM Punk and Zack Ryder never teamed up again.

1 Ric Flair

Yes, the legendary Ric Flair teamed up with CM Punk, hard to believe, right? It was February 19, 2008, in San Diego, California, they faced Elijah Burke and Shelton Benjamin and defeated them after a little more than 10 minutes.

Despite the fact that Flair was already quite old, he knew how to fit in with CM and they actually made a pretty good and balanced team, keep in mind that Burke and Benjamin were not an easy thing. If Flair were a little younger, maybe it would have been a great team.
