Despite receiving a major push earlier in the year, former NXT Women's Champion Shayna Baszler has been absent from WWE programming lately.
Baszler hasn't wrestled a match since May 11, when she defeated Natalya on Monday Night Raw. There are no reported injuries on Baszler, either, so her absence has been puzzling to fans.
So why hasn't the Queen of Spades been on television? According to Fightful Select (h/t of Kishan Prasad of Sportskeeda) Baszler isn't injured at all, and she's merely absent because creative seemingly doesn't have anything booked for her.
Former Raw Executive Director Paul Heyman played a major role in pushing Baszler, but WWE removed him from the position last month. It's been widely speculated that WWE has stopped pushing her because Heyman is no longer in charge.
There have also been reports about Vince McMahon simply deciding to stop pushing Baszler. He and Heyman clearly didn't see eye to eye on several superstars, so his apparent decision to end Baszler's big push isn't all that surprising.

Many expected Baszler to defeat Raw Women's Champion Becky Lynch at WrestleMania 36. In fact, Lynch expected to lose to Baszler, and she even pitched the idea of dropping the title herself. But Lynch emerged victorious via pinfall, and she relinquished the title to Asuka after announcing her pregnancy on the May 11 edition of Raw.
At any rate, WWE simply can't keep Baszler off of television this long simply because they don't have any plans for her. The former UFC star is one of the premier stars in WWE today, and it makes little sense to keep her off of television for this long.
Baszler Deserves Another Major Push
WWE ended Baszler's feud with Lynch rather quickly, and the former still has unfinished business. WWE should look to push Baszler again by throwing her in the Raw Women's Championship scene when the Queen of Spades returns. A feud with Asuka makes perfect sense, especially with Charlotte Flair sidelined for the time being. WWE has little reason to end Baszler's push, and they need to give her another chance once they come up with a return plan.
