Brock Lesnar has been added to the UFC 4 roster on the back of his contract with WWE expiring.

The superstar hasn't appeared in a WWE ring for some time but fans who own the game will be able to get him to their screens, something which marks the first time he's appeared in a UFC game since 2014. Lesnar was a playable character in UFC 2009 Undisputed and UFC Undisputed 3. He was also on the cover of UFC Undisputed 2010.

Brock hasn't been in the octagon since beating Mark Hunt at UFC 200 in July 2016. He was subsequently flagged by the U.S Anti-Doping Agency and fined $250,000, with the result being changed to a no-contest. He was handed a one-year suspension as well.

There were rumors of a return that would have seen him challenge Daniel Cormier in 2018 but that never came to be and Cormier has since retired from MMA.

Lesnar's addition to the game comes as part of a Halloween promotion. Publishers Electronic Arts announced as much this week, noting the superstar will be available for free from October 22-29 and for $2.50 thereafter. He comes with an overall rating of 4 stars, 4.5-star grappling, and 4-star striking and health. Askar Askarov and Jennifer Maia have also been added.

What Might This Mean?

According to Wrestling Observer Radio's Dave Meltzer, Lesnar has signed a deal with either EA or UFC.

"Brock Lesnar has been added to the new EA Sports UFC 4 video game, so that means he must have made a deal with UFC or EA for the game," Melzer pointed out in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter (H/T Sportskeeda.com).

Lesnar is currently a free agent and there's no word yet on what's next for him. A return to UFC is thought to be on the cards but it's generally believed that he will sign a new deal with WWE.
