By the end of 2020, Impact Wrestling star Ethan Page, 31, will be a free agent. Although he would like to stay at the promotion, it is likely that he will receive offers from AEW and WWE after having a stellar year.

For the first six months of the year, Page starred with Josh Alexander as The North. The two wrestlers, former tag team partners on the indie circuit, debuted together on the April 12 episode of Impact, defeating El Reverso and Sheldon Jean.

Then on July 5 at the Bash at the Brewery 1 event, The North defeated The Latin American Xchange, aka Santana and Ortiz, to win the Impact World Tag Team Championship for the first time. Although the tag team isn’t scheduled yet for Impact’s Bound for Glory pay-per-view on October 24, a match will likely be set after they defeated Ace Austin and Madman Fulton on Impact last night.

Many have noted that Page’s physique has radically changed in the past year, which has helped him both on and off camera in terms of marketability. “Someone tweeted me recently and said, Ethan Page finally looks like the way he’s always thought about himself,” Page told Sports Illustrated. “It made me laugh, but that’s totally true. I’ve always thought of myself as a top-level talent. I’ve always carried myself as a top-level talent.”

“There was one hole in my game, so I made sure to eliminate that. Now I truly believe I’m on another level and one of the best professional wrestlers in the world when it comes to every aspect of the game,” he added.

Even though his contract is coming to an end, Page says the general environment at Impact has been improving and becoming more attractive to outside talent. If he stays at the promotion, Page would like to aspire to bigger and better things not only in his professional life but also in his personal life.

“Impact has been amazing. They’re allowing me the opportunity to chat with other companies, and they’re handling this in an extremely professional manner. I’m open to chatting with other people, but my interest is hearing how Impact values me and what they’re willing to offer,” Page said.

As for his current obligations, Page thinks the North is unbeatable as a team. “We carry ourselves as a team. We barely do solo maneuvers in the ring. We go out of our way to hold the tag rope, tagging in and out to make sure it’s the legal man in the ring. This is an art form we obsess over, and we’re going to take every opportunity Impact gives us and knock it out of the park,” he said.
