Lance Archer doesn't seem too terribly pleased with how little he's being used in AEW these days. Taking to Twitter to air his frustrations over a lack of ring time, one has to wonder if he's trying to get the company's attention or if there's more to it than that. Archer wrote on Twitter Sunday, "51 days since I laced up my boots last! NOT by choice!" A number of fans posted responses on his thread and said 51 days is outrageous when it comes to not wrestling at all. It's one thing if Archer were being used on AEW Dark or other live shows and not making it to Dynamite or Rampage each week. That's not the case. Instead, AEW hasn't even booked him in a single match in almost two months. This is an active wrestler, under contract with a unique look that not many others have. This is also a wrestler AEW heavily pushed when he first arrived in the company and they seem to have abandoned any desire to use him.
What comes next for Archer isn't clear, but what is easy to see is that he wants to wrestle. He's hinting that he's ready to go, he's fully healthy and it isn't a lack of desire that he's not being used by AEW. They simply aren't using him. Depending on the status of his contract, perhaps a release makes sense or AEW will let him go.
Would WWE Have Interest?
Archer is the kind of wrestler WWE might like. He's got a style and unique look about him, he's big, he's got experience wrestling in Japan and he would be someone Triple H might have time for. All that said, he may still be under contract for some time in AEW.
