Professional Background
Dr. Mac Everist is an associate professor of radiology, the division director of musculoskeletal radiology, and the department vice chairman of business and finance. He is a Kansas City native who graduated from KU Medical School, and was thrilled to return home to engage in patient care, education, and research at a program he loved. He trained at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN where he served as Chief Resident, followed by a fellowship in Musculoskeletal Radiology at University of California San Francisco (UCSF), where he was awarded "fellow of the year." He joined the KU faculty in 2014, and completed an executive MBA at the University of Chicago in 2018. A sports enthusiast, he has thoroughly enjoyed his section's involvement as healthcare and radiology providers to the KC Chiefs and KC Royals organizations.
