Professional Background

I currently serve as the Dean of Postdoctoral Affairs and Graduate Studies. Our office is dedicated to helping our graduate students, postdoctoral researchers, faculty and staff. We are responsible for all graduate programs at KUMC.

Our postdoctoral affairs office helps with the onboarding of postdoctoral scholars at KUMC. In addition, we offer professional development workshops and sessions. The Kansas Postdoctoral Association is a board of postdoctoral researchers who help advise and create solutions for our postdocs.

Our office is part of Academic and Student Affairs. I report directly to the Vice Chancellor for Academic and Student Affairs. Part of our duty is to work with the Vice Chancellor for Academic and Student Affairs to ensure that we maintain adherence to the rules and regulation of the Higher Learning Commission (our accrediting agency) and the Kansas Board of Regents.
