Ever since Triple H came into power in WWE, it feels as though title reigns have begun to last a lot longer. Records have already been broken by the likes of Roman Reigns, Gunther, The Usos, and Bianca Belair since Triple H has been at the helm. The emphasis on lengthy title reigns does make it a little more difficult to decide who will next in line for the gold.
10 Bold Predictions For WrestleMania 40
With the 2024 Royal Rumble quickly approaching, WWE is already on the Road To WrestleMania. Here are some bold predictions for WrestleMania 40!When looking at some clear long-term plans, potential feuds, and by taking some educated guesses, it can perhaps be determined who the next champion will be for every championship on WWE’s main roster. Of course, there are multiple contenders for all titles, but these are the best predictions we can make at this time.
8 The Next United States Champion Will Be LA Knight, YEAH
Current United States Champion: Logan Paul
- Fans have been dying to see LA Knight win a title in WWE
- LA Knight vs. Logan Paul could take place at WrestleMania 40
The seeds have already been planted for an eventual match between Logan Paul and LA Knight, and it feels like ahead of WrestleMania, this would be a great big-time match for both men. By that time too, fans will be really pushing for Knight to get some sort of success in WWE.
WWE clearly doesn’t have plans for Knight to be a world champion in WWE, but defeating the hated Logan Paul for the United States Championship on the grandest stage would be a great substitute prize. Knight feels like the most likely candidate for the next US Champion, further elevating the gold in the process.
7 Chad Gable Will Get His Redemption And Win The Intercontinental Title
Current Intercontinental Champion: Gunther
- Chad Gable lost to Gunther in front of his family
- Many names could win, but a Chad Gable redemption arc is a big possibility
There are a handful of potential candidates to dethrone Gunther from his record-breaking reign as the Intercontinental Champion including the likes of Sheamus, Jey Uso, and Ilja Dragunov. However, fans have already bought into the idea of Chad Gable pulling off a major upset once, and they would buy into it again.
Gable’s last defeat to Gunther came in front of his own family in an emotional loss, and ending the story on that note doesn’t sit right. A star needs to be made when ending Gunther’s all-time longest IC Title reign, and Gable is someone who at this point deserves a big crowning moment. It isn’t clear when Gunther’s time as champion will end, but it should and likely could be Gable who ends it.
6 A Reunited Awesome Truth Will Pick Up A Shock Tag Team Title Win
Current Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions: Judgment Day
- R-Truth & The Miz recently reunited
- Finn Balor & Damian Priest are currently in their second reign as champions
R-Truth’s return to WWE programming has been a surefire success so far, getting hugely over with fans in his interactions with the Judgment Day. WWE are running with it, and a recent Awesome Truth reunion with The Miz has gone down well too.
Frictions within the Judgment Day have been rising by the week, and sooner or later Finn Balor and Damian Priest will lose the Undisputed Tag Team Titles because of it. Currently, Awesome Truth looks like the most likely candidate to upset the champions.
5 The Kabuki Warriors Will Win Tag Team Gold Once More
Current WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions: Kayden Carter & Katana Chance
- Kayden Carter & Katana Chance feel like transitional champions
- Asuka & Kairi Sane are a proven success as Women’s Tag Team Champs
Katana Chance and Kayden Carter won the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles not long into their main roster run, and even though they have won gold they don’t feel established yet. With the Kabuki Warriors gaining more wins in the division, it feels like the new babyface duo are just keeping the belts warm for whoever is next in line.
10 WWE Wrestlers Who Need A Push In 2024
WWE needs to get behind these wrestlers and give them bigger pushes in 2024!Asuka & Kairi Sane have been champions in the past and their reigns with the belts are some of the best in an up and down history for these championships throughout the last five years.
4 Damage CTRL Will End As Bayley Wins The WWE Women’s Title
Current WWE Women’s Champion: Iyo Sky
- Iyo Sky cashed in her Money in the Bank contract to win the belt
- Bayley’s relationship with Damage CTRL has weakened, and a WrestleMania title match is likely
Iyo Sky’s reign has been going well so far, mostly due to the help she’s had from her Damage CTRL allies. Bayley has played a pivotal role, but her time in the group looks like it will be expiring soon due to the other members looking down on her.
This will inevitably lead to a babyface turn for Bayley and a match against her Damage CTRL ally. Bayley is among the favorites to win the Women’s Royal Rumble this year, and this will likely set up a showdown with Sky for WrestleMania where a marquee win for Bayley could take place.
3 CM Punk Will Be A World Champion In WWE Once Again
Current World Heavyweight Champion: Seth Rollins
- Seth Rollins is the inaugural World Heavyweight Champion (this version)
- CM Punk & Seth Rollins will inevitably face off at WrestleMania
Ever since CM Punk returned to WWE, he has had issues with Seth Rollins (both inside and outside of kayfabe). Punk has made his intentions known that he wants world title gold and the main event of WrestleMania. The path has already been set for this showdown, and it feels like the more likely scenario would be for Punk to dethrone Rollins.
Rollins has had a long run as the first World Heavyweight Champion, and it has to come to an end at some point. Punk will be his biggest challenger to date, and to capitalize on a very huge return, crowning Punk with a prize is the natural direction for this story.
2 Nia Jax’s Big Return Push Will Culminate With A WWE Women’s World Title Reign
Current WWE Women’s World Champion: Rhea Ripley
- Rhea Ripley has been unstoppable as WWE Women’s World Champion
- WWE looks focused on making Nia Jax a big star
It is an unpopular opinion for sure, but Nia Jax looks set on becoming a bigger star this time around in WWE after her return to the company. Jax has had more impressive mic work, her in-ring skills have been more fine-tuned, and she is getting bigger reactions.

10 Predictions For The 2024 WWE Royal Rumble
What will go down in the 2024 WWE Royal Rumble? We make our predictions for WWE's January tradition here. For this reason, Jax is one of the more likely names to dethrone Rhea Ripley from her lengthy time as WWE Women’s World Champion. Other potential names like Becky Lynch have many reigns to her name, but Jax has only won a world title once, and that could make WWE lean towards trying her again as a champion.
1 Cody Rhodes Will Finish His WWE World Title Story
Current Undisputed WWE Universal Champion: Roman Reigns
- Roman Reigns is on a record-breaking reign as champion
- Cody Rhodes lost to Roman Reigns at last year’s WrestleMania
Cody Rhodes came up short last year against Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship, and the last twelve months has been all about building him up yet again. Even if it doesn’t happen at WrestleMania 40 due to The Rock coming in or WWE wanting Roman Reigns to surpass the number of days Hulk Hogan held the top belt, Rhodes will still be the man to win the belt next.
There would be uproar if this wasn’t the case, but it still feels quite clear that this is what WWE is leading to for Cody Rhodes eventually.
