Brock Lesnar entering the WWE Title match with just hours to go and winning the gold wasn't the only thing that happened at Day 1, but you'd be forgiven for thinking that it was. There was a whole card of matches before that main event, a few of which featured some pretty great action. The show opened with The Usos versus The New Day, and as history dictates, it did not disappoint.

The Usos' 3D

It's amazing that after years of facing each other, Usos and New Day still find ways to make their matches against each other unique. In this case, they even figured out a way to end the match differently than they ever have done before. Since the double Uso Splash wasn't enough to finish off Kofi Kingston, Jimmy and Jey borrowed from a different tag team's locker.

The twins hit the former WWE Champion with a 3D. Yes, the tag team finisher made famous by The Dudley Boyz. The announcers even referred to it as the 3D before quickly renaming it the 1D in reference to one and done. Ever since The Usos used to move to end the match, fans have been waiting for The Dudleys reaction, and now we have it.

Bubba And D-Von Love The 1D

Bully Ray reacted to the use of his and D-Von's move by tweeting “nothing but [heart emoji]” to The Usos. The SmackDown Tag Team Champions replied by letting Bully know they used it because it's the best tag team move in the business. D-Von also chipped in on Twitter, tweeting that it was a great match and the 3D was a fantastic way to bring it to a close.

What remains unclear is whether The Usos specifically sought out permission from The Dudleys before using the 3D live on PPV (sorry, premium live event). There's an unwritten rule in wrestling that someone speak with the person who made a move famous before using it themselves. The Usos and The Dudleys have faced each other in the past and are clearly good friends, so maybe that didn't need to happen. It was also used to finish the match which also helps.
