After an illustrious 30-year career, The Undertaker officially retired at the end of the Survivor Series pay-per-view on Nov. 22.
Rumors and speculation about The Undertaker's retirement ramped up following his WrestleMania XXX loss to Brock Lesnar seven years ago.
As we saw on the WWE Network series, Undertaker: The Last Ride, the future Hall of Famer struggled with his retirement decision, wanting to leave on a high and proper note.
But Undertaker was quite pleased with his cinematic WrestleMania 36 "Boneyard match" against AJ Styles, where he emerged victorious. He was more than comfortable walking away from the ring, having initially revealed his retirement on the final episode of The Last Ride.
During an interview on The Joe Rogan Experience (h/t Ringside News), The Undertaker provided an update on his WWE contract status.
The Phenom explained that he's no longer under a talents contract, but rather a legends deal. This means that The Undertaker no longer has to undergo testing for the WWE's Wellness Policy.

The Undertaker is just one of the many big-named wrestlers from the '90s and 2000s currently signed to a legends contract. This list also includes Mark Henry, Ric Flair (who re-signed last year) and Hulk Hogan. Other Hall of Famers such as Goldberg and Edge are still active wrestlers.
When he announced his retirement on The Last Ride, The Undertaker emphasized that he could come back for another match if Vince McMahon "was in a pinch." You can never say never in the WWE, but Undertaker seems content and confident in staying retired.
There Will Never Be Another Undertaker
The Undertaker made a strong case as the greatest superstar of all time. He was a main event star in the WWE for 30 years. No other wrestler spent that long at the very top with the company. He kept his character interesting and exciting time and time again, and his popularity among the fans never waned. Given his age, recent injury history and the fact there's nothing else to accomplish, retirement was the best call for The Undertaker. There won't be another superstar like him.
