To put it bluntly, last night's episode of Monday Night Raw was a trainwreck. There were several script changes made haphazardly at the last minute. At one point in the show, a segment with Seth Rollins was scrapped as Seth Rollins stood in the ring. People are accrediting this production nightmare to the return of former WWE CEO, Vince McMahon.

A report posted on Fightful Select detailed the atmosphere backstage in WWE, along with the struggling company morale. Numerous talent are "disappointed as they feel this weekend was a way for Vince McMahon to wedge himself back into the fold." Many higher-ups in WWE were also unaware of the changes McMahon planned on making to Monday Night Raw and remain in the dark regarding McMahon's plans for Smackdown this Friday.

One of the most concerning parts of the report regards top talent who are now considering leaving WWE altogether. The report writes:

Fightful heard from at least two talent, including one near the top of the card that said they'll likely request their releases if this is a trend moving forward, and another that said they'll just ride out their deal. There are multiple wrestlers who are already exploring what their options would be in the event Vince McMahon was to be steadily involved.

Not only is Vince McMahon a blight on WWE's image, but it's becoming clear he is also a hindrance to the company's operation. Unfortunately, the next few months are likely to be extremely tumultuous for WWE as they adjust to their new ownership under Endeavor and work toward a merger with UFC.
